Residents living in RW 01, Petamburan Urban Village, Tanah Abang seemed enthusiastic about enjoying the archive restoration and digitization services held by the Central Jakarta Library and Archives Sub-agency, on Wednesday (3/10).
As experienced by Irna Kurniawati, one of residents in RT 03/RW 01 Petamburan Urban Village. She brought a number of family archives including husband's death certificate, family card and land deed, for documentation.

Archivist Functional Officer Safrino Okman explained the service was conducted in stages in four locations, namely in Petamburan, Bendungan Hilir, Karet Tengsin and Kebon Melati urban villages.
"Through this service, we can help them (residents) to have family archive documentation. So, when it is lost or damaged, we easily process it," he expressed.
He explained, they took family files to officers at the service site for documentation on Compact Disk or via e-mail. His side had cooperated with urban village, RT/RW caretaker and PKK cadre.
"Hopefully residents begin to get used to storing various documents, in order to anticipate fires and floods," he hoped.
